The world is well aware of the serious and unprecedented global pandemic resulting from the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19). President Cyril Ramaphosa addressed South Africa and announced that a “State of Disaster” has been declared and various interventions and regulations have been implemented to counter the spread of the virus.
The Icon Oncology leadership has established a crisis team that will coordinate our internal response plans and important policies in alignment with President Ramaphosa’s announcement. This team will meet daily for the foreseeable future to ensure that our plans are adjusted regularly to be relevant to the changing circumstances.
Regular communications with the whole Icon Oncology business will take place to make sure that everyone is informed, while, Icon Oncology’s clinical governance team is busy developing protocols to be followed at our treatment facilities regarding COVID-19.
We would also like to assure the whole Icon Oncology business that our patients will continue to receive the highest level of quality treatment that they deserve.
