MEDICAL PHYSICIST
Minimum Requirements:
- B.SC-hons degree and HPCSA registration is required
- 2 years’ experience in Radiotherapy and treatment planning required
- Valid HPCSA registration as Independent Practitioner
- Computer literacy with MS Word, Excel and Outlook
- Strong sense of teamwork
- Must be able to work systematically and accurately under pressure
- Must be able to work outside normal working hours as required
- Own reliable transportation required for compulsory travel
- Experience in IT network maintenance and troubleshooting advantageous
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Equipment QC
- Isotopes
- Brachy implants
- Stereo Treatment
- High dose rate Afterloader
- Patient specific QA
- Continuous Professional development
- Commissioning new equipment
- Must be able to assist in other units when required
