Olsens Pharmacy is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Pharmacist who will act as the Responsible Pharmacist for a well-established retail pharmacy. The position is based at our Long Street retail pharmacy in the Cape Town CBD.

Olsens Pharmacy is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Pharmacist who will act as the Responsible Pharmacist for a well-established retail pharmacy. The position is based at our Long Street retail pharmacy in the Cape Town CBD.

Olsens Pharmacy was recently purchased by the Icon Group of companies to diversify its current business offering, which now includes retail and dispensing pharmacies.

This position is ideal for a pharmacist with an interest in retail and gaining experience in business management. The successful candidate is a self-starter who would take their own initiative to help grow the current customer base, improve the customer experience, and grow turnover.

Purpose of the role

Managing and taking responsibility for the day-today operations and business activities for a retail pharmacy (dispensing and front shop). Providing high standards of pharmaceutical care and dispensary services in accordance with Good Pharmacy Practice as well as certain aspects related to stock and financial management of the pharmacy.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor of Pharmacy (BPharm) / equivalent qualification
• Registered with the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC)
• Minimum of two years retail working experience
• Must be familiar with medical aids and pharmacy claiming processes
• Ability to work independently and taking ownership of their work environment
• Financial and stock management
• Working hours are Mondays to Fridays from 08:00 – 17:00
• Occasional weekend work if required
